Moncler

Moncler is a French company founded in 1952 by René Ramillon. The company took its name from the abbreviation of Monestier-de-Clermont, an Alpine town near Grenoble in southern France. The brand rose to prominence providing equipment for the Italian expedition, led by Ardito Desio, that successful completed the first ascent of K2 in July 1954. In 1968, Moncler went on to become the official supplier of the French national team during the 1968 Winter Olympics. With down jackets and gilets of the very best quality, style and a variety of colours, Moncler has attracted a fantastic following including many celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, Elle Macpherson and Katie Holmes.
