Diane Von Furstenberg

AW15

Diane Von Furstenberg first arrived on the fashion scene in 1972 with her iconic wrap dress, the seed of what is today a full fashion house. By 1976, Diane had sold millions of her wrap dresses, coming to symbolise female power and freedom to an entire generation. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Von Furstenberg remerged on the New York fashion scene with the re-launch of the dress that started it all and began transforming her company into the global luxury lifestyle brand it is today. In August 2012, Diane von Fürstenberg, was named as one of the world’s most successful fashion designers by Forbes Magazine.

Both comfortable and elegant, the now iconic wrap dress revolutionised American women’s apparel throughout the 70s and celebrates its 40th birthday in 2014.  More recently she has also produced the ‘Bentley’ which is being hailed as the new ‘wrap’. It offers a body conscious silhouette, with ruching at side seams and a broad neckline that can slide off the shoulders. Essential for dresses and luxury fashion pieces designed to flatter and enhance the female form
