Beginning its brand during 1996 by four founding members, Acne Studio’s believed in creating a lifestyle brand which would be based on its design, quality and sustainability within the fashion industry. By recognising the undeveloped market surrounding denim, Acne originated as a unisex jean collection, later expanding to a full ready-to-wear collection by 1998. Standing by the philosophy that clothing should be smart yet personal, Acne felt they have created an effortless style without being overly domineering. Being known for its signature juxtaposing design and attention to detail, with the emphasis on tailoring and electric use of materials and custom developed fabrics, Jonny Johansson has designed a well-respected and global brand. This collection is unique and maintains the ethos that fashion is the best form of self-expression.
